Why I Heart Sydney
Well after returning from the travels with the family last week, I've just had the best week ever in Sydney, probably because I'm not working anymore, so me and Jillian have spent the week being tourists and it's been sooo much fun.
On Monday we went to the Snow Patrol concert, which was awesome even though it was filled with 17yr old girls who only know one song... it was soo funny because we were the only ones at the front old enough to drink!
Tuesday I spent mostly with Naomi and we finally went to the Chinese Gardens, where we dressed up, me as a Chinese Empress, and Naomi was a Princess. We looked very regal even though the headdresses weighed a ton. After this we went to the Imax cinema in Darling Harbour and watched Deep Sea 3D which was very cool, comedy photos of us in 3D glasses.
On wednesday morning me and Jillian got up at 6am to watch the Celtic match, except the pub couldn't get the inernet to hook up with the tv (?) and we listened to it, whilst watching Bayern Munich against Real Madrid (Becks was playing so I was v happy). We then stayed in the pub drinking till around 2pm, when the pub wouldn't serve us lairy brits any more, so we went home and passed out.
Thursday - Big day. We climbed the Harbour Bridge, and was absolutely amazing, although I don't think I've quite realised exactly how cool it was! Got some comedy photos up there too. The QE2 was docked in Circular Quay so it's in our photos, then when we climbed down we watched it sail out of the harbour, waving at all the people. It's absolutely enormous I had no idea! I felt like I was in Titanic, waving them all off.... That evening we were celebrating our love of Australia with tattoos, although mine ended up upside down on my arm.....
Sydney is great because there's always something going on, and something different to do. I almost wish I didn't have to leave in a week, although this time next week I will be learning to surf somewhere between here and Byron Bay!
