I Heart NY

Well we did finally make it to New York and had such a fantastic few days I actually think I might go and live there. We did all the major tourist things, Statue of Liberty, Staten Island Ferry, the Empire State Building (I went up to the 102nd floor, and have photos to prove it!!!) went to Bloomingdales and watched England lose to Portugal (the only downside of the weekend!) but also had a free makeover! we also went to Central Park, saw the john lennon memorial where some hobos spent ages decorating it with rose petals while others sang beatles songs, it was really quite emotional! Spent a lot of time in Greenwich Village, and had dinner in Little Italy, and also Planet Hollywood. One of the nights we went out to the Comic Strip, where loads of famous comedians have started out, we saw about 5 different guys and they were sooo funny, except when they made anti-British jokes, obv., the 6 brits there booed!
This is the best part though, we went to FAO Schwarz, the big toy shop, and I danced on the giant piano that Tom Hanks danced on in the film Big!!! i also have photos to prove this! unfortunately there was some kids playing on it too otherwise I would have played chopsticks, believe me I tried!!!
Have been back in camp for 2 weeks now, it's proper resident camp where the kids stay from sunday till friday, it's hard work but I am enjoying it, plus this week I'm sleeping on a houseboat on a lake. It's pretty cool!
