Birthday, Oz-Style, and my last week in Australia

I've been in Thailand now nearly a week, after what was an emotional farewell to Australia! Although saying that me and Jillian had an awesome week full of fun, I even treated myself to a hotel on Scarborough Beach for my 23rd Birthday, and we had a fantastic night out. What was also bizarre was going to the beach on my birthday - it was actually a beautiful day, 29 degrees outside so we got some crisps, beers and a happy birthday banner and headed to the beach.(although we had to hide the beer, it's not allowed on the beach...)

After that we got our nails done (!) and then put on our party dresses and headed to Jimmy Dean's on Scarborough Beach, where Jillian got the waitresses to sing happy birthday to me (I wasn't too embarrased at all...) and then we went into Perth, and had a great laugh.. I think... it's all a bit blurry after the bus ride!

My last day in Australia was spent lazing around on the beach, and we headed to the beach again later on for sunset (how sentimental am I?!) but it turned out to be one of the best sunsets I saw in Australia, there was this amazing mist over the beach, and the sea just looked incredible. It was a great way to end my time in Australia, although I'm certain it isn't the last I'll see of it!

So now I'm in Thailand, on my way home, and that's going to have to be a whole new page...
