Kia Ora!
Well I''m now in beautiful New Zealand! Loving it here, it's really cool there's just soo much to do here.
So far I've been up the Skytower in Auckland, which is really high and the lift up it has a glass floor and also you can look out as you're going up - scary when you're not expecting it!
After a couple of days in Auckland I got the bus down to Rotorua, which smells of egg because of the amount of volcanic activity in the area. I went to a Maori evening last night, where genuine Maoris do a sort of show about their weapons, and also do the Haka. They all have the tattoos on their faces, it's really cool to see. We also had a Hangi, where they cook chicken, lamb, potatoes and sweet potatoes underground by hot rocks. It was so good, best meal I've had in days!
This morning I visited Wiotapu thermal park, and saw a Geyser and loads of other volcanic "stuff." The geyser was so cool, they put soap in it to break the seal of the water, so that it will go off on time every day. You also see live volcanoes on the way to this place, and the bus driver said that the earth's crust is only 7km deep here, unlike most places where it is 30km, hence all the volcanoes and geothermal activity!
I leave Rotorua tomorrow, after going white water rafting! Pretty excited about that, also am off to a spa to have mud rubbed over me! Will try to get some photos up of that, should be entertaining!
